Music won't play in my car but Bluetooth is connected to my iPhone?

I recently bought a 2007 Infiniti m35 x AWD & I connected Bluetooth to my iPhone and it says connected and I still get calls and it shows up on the screen but when I want to play music it still plays from my phone instead of the car's stereos

Try these:
reset your radio
disconnect your bluetooth & pair your iphone bluetooth your car radio
switch your car radio to aux or auxilary
if these fail, buy an $2 aux cord from the dollar store and link it from your phone to your radio!

Read the manual on your radio. On mine the blue tooth connection is only for hands free phone calls not music.

  • My iPhone won't play music when it's connected to headphones? I plugged in my headphones and tried to listen to a song but it wouldn't start playing. So I unplugged the headphones and hit play and the music came out of the actual speakers. Then I paused it and plugged the headphones back in. When I hit play it worked. I just don't want to have to do that every time I want to listen to music. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  • My car head unit charges via USB but won't play music? I bought a Dual XDM260 head unit for my 2000 Chrysler LHS. When i plug my iPhone 5 in via USB it charges and the USB mode pops up then quickly changes to auxiliary. The manual says that the unit is capable of doing such a thing but for some reason won't. Is there anything I can do?

In the menu bar at the top it's a black B symbol, but when I go to play my music it comes out of my phone instead of my bluetooth headphones. It says that it's synced up to the headphones so i'm not too sure where I went wrong.
  • My 2015 Chrysler 200 won't play my iPhone music when connected by USB? The funny thing is when connected it brings up the songs title, artist, etc. And even shows the song is playing based on the time elapsed in the song. But no music is playing from the speakers. My Bluetooth works fine with playing the same music from the same device.
