For an iPhone/iPod/iPad, no. Just go to your settings, click general>reset>erase all content and settings
You device will restart and then guide you through the setup process. Remember, you will lose all of your data if you don't back it up.

- Iphone will not restore from recovery mode? I tried to restore my iphone via itunes but is now stuck in recovery mode. I press 'Restore' on itunes and it downloads the software (takes about half an hour!) and then nothing happens. There's no error message or anything. I've tried this several times now.
