Do i have to buy an apple laptop if have an iphone and ipad, or can i get a pc?

I'm a full time working mom who plans to maybe make cards and labels with some book keeping. I have lots of pics and video clips on my iphone that I want to save.
My girls use an ipad. I have a kindle. We also use the neat desk organizer. I'm encouraged to get an apple because it'll supposedly make my busy life easier when it comes to uploading, creating projects and saving etc.Am just not sure on the expense and experience. I'm afraid I will not know how to maneuver on the apple and am also concerned of losing my saved word and excel USB documents. Any insight will be appreciated.

You don't have to buy an apple product in addition to the products you already have. Just get itunes on the pc and it will work fine

You can use iPhones and iPads with Macs & PCs. Everything is just easier with a Mac, though. You'll be happier if you can afford to make the purchase.

One really great thing about Apple products is that they just plain work. Everything is quite intuitive. You should locate an Apple store near you and go play with the devices. I used to have my own worries about switching. You just have to take the plunge and it will all fall into place, I promise. It will be a little weird at first, but you will definitely pick it up.

More benefits:

- The threat of malware (i.e. Viruses) on Macs is significantly less than that of a PC.
- Macs generally have higher quality parts than most budget laptops. You really do get what you pay for. You don't get all the stuff you don't need.
- Reliability. They work, they keep working and they continue to work after that.
- Support. You can purchase the AppleCare service when you buy the laptop and know that there will be Apple techs to answer your questions anytime something happens. They even have some newer service where they can teach you stuff in one-on-one sessions. Furthermore, they have free classes at the Apple store for people switching to Mac. I'll leave a link to that below. Just click "Make Reservation" at the top right of that screen and you can see the different categories and such.

It's important to note, once you go Mac, you never go back.

So the biggest problem moving to Apple from Windows is that the Apple system just makes sense. What I mean by that is 99% of the time when I'm helping someone on an Apple product they can't do what they want because they're over thinking it.
Seriously I've heard "well I just didn't think it would be so simple" about a bajillion times. That being said, there's a learning curve involved with it. If you buy something from the Apple store they have the best tech support, so go into the Apple store, tell them what you want to do and they can pretty much make something easy as heck to use and such.
Yes, there's a pretty signifigant cost difference, and no, you don't HAVE to go the Apple route. You can certainly get everything off of your Apple devices and put them onto your PC. You can use iTunes to sync everything on your iPhone and iPad for free. So if there's that fear of change thing you can stick with Windows and get everything done.
The difference is performance, the Apple will outlast and out perform the PC for quite some time. There's much better support for Apple products as well. Your best bet is go to a local Apple store (if you have one) and pick the brain of one of their geniuses for a while. See if they can break things down for you and show you what you want. If after a while there you don't like it, well then nothing lost.
