Do I need a new router/modem?

Frequently my Wi-Fi gives me only limited access, keeping me from using my laptop, playstation, and iphone Wi-Fi. It says that I can't obtain the ip address and is clearly the router or modems problem, what needs to be replaced? I'm just tired of dealing with it.

I'm going to assume that your router and your modem are separate devices. If so, you'll most likely need a new router as that's the device that's giving IP addresses to all of your devices. The modem is only giving an IP address to your router and not your devices.
