Do i need a new sim card for my iphone 5?

I currently have a normal phone (blackberry) with and sim card in which I have been using for almost a year but my contract does not run out for another year. I'm about to buy a iPhone 5 whilst continuing on my contract. I want to know if my current sim can be put into my iPhone 5?

No issues! The Same sim card will work but what you need is nano-sim to run on iphone 5. But dnt worry the retailer will cut the sim into smaller one! And regarding validity of sim you can contact operator for extension of vailidity!

No u'll need a nano sim card for i phones.

For the record BlackBerrys are smartphones as well just like iPhones. All of them are.

Anyway as far as the SIM, I would assume it is a miniSIM (standard one). The iPhone 5 uses a nanoSIM. You could either cut it to size or get your carrier to issue you one to use.

The more important thing though is if the iPhone 5 is either
1.locked to the same carrier as your BlackBerry
2.unlocked

If neither then you would have to get it unlocked in order for the SIM to work at all.

You'll need a Nano - which your network operator should supply with the phone.
