Do I need credit to buy an IPhone 7 in down payments?

I'm 15 years old and I would really like to buy an iPhone 7 but I'm not sure if I need credit. I initially have to pay about $30 at BestBuy and pay about $25 each month for 24 months. This can be with T-Mobile, AT&T, etc. I just don't know if I need credit to be able to do this and wether it depends with what phone service company I chose. Any help will be appreciated and suggestions to which phone company to chose.

Yes you do need credit. And you can't sign a legal contract until you're 18. They'll ask for your SSN to run a credit check. Since you are underage, it won't work.

ALL carriers that offer financing will require a credit check if you want to finance the phone.

You can however pay in full for the phone and they won't do a credit check, but it is very expensive.
If you really want it on a financing agreement, you'll need a parent or guardian to take out the phone on their name.

You will be unable to buy the phone, you are not 18 and can't sign a legal contract (unless you are emancipated) for the credit or the service. The only phone you can buy is one you have to pay in full and use per minute type of pre-paid phone use.

Here is an example.

  • Is it possible to do monthly payments with iPhone SE? I was thinking about getting the new iPhone SE but I don't have all of the money right now, I'm 13 so I have no income, besides $5 a week allowance so I could do $20 per month. Will Apple let you pay monthly? And if so can you choose how much you pay? I plan on getting the iPhone SE rose gold unlocked 64gb by the way:3
  • Iphone 4 payments for phone card? I pay a 45 dollar plan so I can have data. I'm on verizon btw. Is there a lower plan I can get that allows me to just have text and talk
  • In the UK can you use Apple Pay in any stores which accept contactless payments? I've only just added my card to Apple Pay on my new iPhone 6S, so haven't had chance to try it out yet. But I've noticed in some shops they have signs saying they accept Apple Pay, while other shops just have signs saying they accept contactless payments (which I assume they mean cards). I was wondering if Apple Pay will work in any stores which accept contactless payments, or does the store have to specify that they accept Apple Pay for it to work?
  • If you buy iPhone from Apple Store with Apple Credit Card and stop making payments on it what happens next to that phone? If you buy iPhone from Apple Store with Apple Credit Card and stop making payments on that Credit Card what happens next to that phone? Does it get blacklisted like other companies does it? (I'm not trying to do this, just to prove a point to somebody stupid that he won't get away with it. Lol)
