Do I need to change the Iphone 4 batttery?
I took my Iphone 4 to a shop to fix the lcd yesterday, no i just (very foolishly() dropped it about a distance of less than a foot and now I can't turn my phone on. If i connect it to power the apple logo shows but it goes no further than that, and as soon as i disconnect it it very abruptly turns off. Is it possible that the battery has become disconnected and if so how do i reconnect replace it?
If the problem persist then change it.
Unless you know how to assemble electronics proficiently I would not take a part that Iphone. It isn't the battery because it wouldn't turn on even when plugged in because the iphone wouldn't complete the electric circuit. Try a hard reset by holding the lock screen hand home button for 30 seconds (yes it takes a while) it should reset to normal.
I would recommend taking it to the Apple Store, because they have the tools and experience to open the phone and see if the battery has been disconnected, or if its a different problem all together.
If it was working before the screen was replaced then I think the person who fixed the screen did not do a good job. You must have a loose contact somewhere. It's a Iphone 4 and you should change a new battery anyway since it's more than 3 yrs old. The new battery is cheap ($15-$20).
