Do I need to pay for Internet with the iPhone 5?

I may be getting an iPhone 5 soon(unless another comes out by then) but as my mum is sick of my high bills it'll have to be a pay as you go. I've never had an iPhone before but if I got one from EE or Tesco, will I have to pay for internet or is it free? I've just always wanted an iPhone since I have an iPod touch and I like the way it works but I can't call, text or use the Internet on the go.

You can get Wi-Fi… Which is obviously free
But depends on your phone company and what type of contract you have (and if you have a contract at all)… If 3G is included then it might just come with the pay pack
f.ex: 10 free mg per month
or if it doesn't come with your pay pack then it does still cost money but I would assume it costs more, I've never used internet without it being included in my pay pack, and i have limited internet access in my pay pack

As with all mobiles, it depends what tariff you are on. But if you get a tariff including a data allowance, when you have used that up you will have to pay extra for what you use. But you can tie your phone up to your home network, and you won't be billed, unless you use up all of your home broadband allowance too. Data is never free, just varies in cost.

You can use the internet but it will eat up your credit really quickly (I did it once and lost it all within the day) so I suggest not to use it a lot unless you are in a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

If you go on pay monthly tell your mum that you can get capped. I'm capped so I can't go over £10 but I'm on 3.

You can get unlimited internet with pay monthly for £30 a month with 3 or around $15 if yr in usa. That will cover any internet or you can use yr home Wi-Fi for free.
