Do I remove my SIM card when I trade in my phone?
So I'm with consumer cellular (a cheap prepaid phone service) so in order to get on their plan with my iPhone I had to buy a different SIM card to put in my phone for the service. I don't like the service anymore so I'm thinking of trading in my phone to either Apple or sprint and upgrading. Would they take my phone with the prepaid services SIM card or would I need to remove it?
You need to remove it, your number is on there.
The SIM is yours since it contains you phone number & contacts (if you store them there).
Yes to much information is on it to leave it in there
- Will I be able to transfer my contract from a regular Sim card to a Micro Sim card? I want to buy an iPhone 4S on T-mobile, but my current T-mobile sim card is a regular one that would not fit in to the iPhone 4S. Would I be able to somehow move my contract on to the new Micro Sim?
- Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card? I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
- Is it ok to remove an iphone 5s's sim card while the phone is turned on? Will the phone breakdown? Or the iphone 5s must always be switched off when you remove your sim card? will there be a problem if the sim card removal is done everyday?
- I didn't remove my sim card before trade in my iphone to at&t? I trade in my old iphone 4 to at&t today and I forgot that my sim card is still in there! I erase all the contents and settings on the phone though. The guy there didn't say anything about it, but I change my phone number, so does this has anything to do with it? Can at&t do anything with it? Please answer these questions! I'm worry about it so much right now!
