Does at&t do credit checks online when getting an iphone/service with them?

I tried over the phone but was asked to put up a few hundred
because of my bad credit. But i attempted to do it from their
site, but didn't get put through the credit check, and it was
much cheaper too! ( i didn't go through with the purchase)
just a test.

Yes, even if you do it online, they will preform a credit check and the amount they want will most likely be the same if you get the phone online, in store, or order it over the telephone. At&t charges steep for deposits as does Verizon. Try T-mobile or Sprint (if you really want an iPhone).

  • Whee can i watch movies online without a credit card? Where can i watch free movies on my iPhone without registering or using a credit card? I would like to watch a couple of movies (the big wedding, little fockers) but am getting frustrated looking for websites that don't need a credit card.
  • What pops up when Apple checks your iPhone one year warranty? Like besides if you still have it or not, like what shows up? They don't get anything like my phone info within my carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.), right? Or do they? And they check with your phones series number, right?
  • Ordering from Apple US online with International credit card? I want to order an iPhone 6 and get it delivered to my brothers house in Houston, Tx but I wanted to know if i could order the iPhone 6 online with a foreign credit card (South African). I will use my brothers shipping address and when he receives it, he will bring it to me. I want to know if this is possible.
  • Multiple smaller checks to avoid the $1000+ funds availability hold at USAA? I have USAA and I plan on using the Deposit@Mobile method of depositing with the USAA iPhone app. I want to deposit $1200 on Monday but I need the funds a few hours after I create and scan the checks in. I plan on using two $600 checks to bypass the $1000 funds availability hold regulation (that is federally enforced, to my understanding). Any potential blow back?
