Does deleting texts on iPhone increase storage space?
My storage is full and I'm wondering if deleting texts helps as I've thousands of them
Text messages do take up space, so deleting them would fee up space. However text messages are also tiny the space they use, You would have to delete about 25,000 text messages to free the space of about one average mp3 song.
To free up 1MB on your phone (not GB) you would need to delete 6000+ messages!
Yes, though years worth of texts don't take up that much room. A better bet to free up space would be to clear caches, delete media, apps, etc
- Why does my iPhone say that I have no storage space? I deleted so many apps and it still says that I have no space. I can't take pictures, download apps, nothing. I've tried turning it off and on and it says the same thing. What can I do to fix it? I'm trying to do everything I can't to restore it.
- What can I delete on my Iphone to increase my storage other than apps and pictures? I finally decided that I'm going to get the update, but I don't have enough space. I have already deleted all of my apps that don't come with an Iphone, all of my pictures and music. After all this, I still did not have enough space. So now I have a phone with nothing on it and no update… Helpful -__- Can I delete some of the permanent apps? I have an 8 GB 4s Iphone
- On the I cloud on the Iphone what does total storage and available storage mean? Basically it says total storage 5gb and availible storage 5 gb. Does that mean there's already 5 gb of files on the Icloud?
- IPhone storage won't increase? I had 0 bytes avaliable and I've deleted like 400 photos out a 1,000 but I still have 0 bytes avaliable
