Does iMessage and FaceTime show up on your bill as apart of texting or calls?

I have an iPhone 5 and AT&T. My parents are very strict about the number of texts and the number if minutes I have on my bill, even though I have unlimited. I was just wondering if iMessages and FaceTime show up included in the number of texts and minutes you've called or texted every month?

Both iMessage and FaceTime use internet for connectivity purpose. They do not use regular SIM services like text SMS and calling. Instead, these apps use internet, either mobile data or WI-Fi. So no charge will reflect in your bill.

Well… Yea, Lou is right.

IMessages are not texts since internet is required, so that is considered I'm
FaceTime calls are not phone calls since internet is required, so that is considered VoIP

So no, neither are.
