Does it charge to text out of state?
I'm 17, I have an iPhone with unlimited texting. My parents kind of freak when I text numbers with different area codes. This guy I've been texting has a different area code & lives a state away so I was wondering does it charge? It's not iMessage since he doesn't have an iPhone. Also is there anyway I can't tell my parents who it is & hide it from the phone bill? Haha thank you!
I also have AT&T
They probably freak out because they figure that you are talking to people that you don't know. I don't think it charges, but I don't think you can hide it from the phone bill unless you get your very own plan and pay for it yourself.
No it doesn't cost extra! Plus if you use iMessage it's free.AT&T says that it's unlimited texting in the continental us. So don't text someone from another country but different state is fine!
No(yay), and no(sorry)
- When texting an out-of-state number, must you put a 1 before the area code? I have an iPhone 5, I reside in Montana and I want to send a text to a non-iPhone user who has an Oregon pre-fix.
- Lost my California drivers license out of state? I lost my California drivers license, phone, and debit card to the bottom of a lake… There's absolutely no way I can go back to California because of work. How can I get a new license? I had an IPhone, will my contacts/pictures be restored when I get a new iPhone?
- Is it possible to get an IPhone in a different state from where you live? I've been using t-mobile, but they don't offer the IPhone so I'm changing plans as soon as my contract is up. The issue is I'm going to be out of state the day it ends. Will it be a problem to get it out of town?
- If you send texts to someone who's out of the country will it charge per text? I have a iphone and so does my boyfriend and he's been in jamaica for the past few days and I've been sending him texts throughout the day just cause I miss him, but would that cost him extra money even though it's sending as a text message and not an imessage?
