Does it matter what Apple mac i get?
When buying an iPhone or iPad it usually matters what gen you get as older versions don't support certain apps etc is it the same with an Apple mac or does it not matter what one i get?
Not really. Unless you are a cheapskate, find the best affordable MacBook you can buy.
Yes, they'll stop support for OS updates for their computers as well. It depends on the machine how long they'll wait though. Our 2008 Macbook was only supported for about 4 years before they stopped giving OS updates and programs stopped supporting the old OS, meanwhile our 2011 iMac is still supported.
It can. If you really want to run current programs and the most recent Mac OS (Mojave), buying a Mac older than late 2012 won't work (I have a late 2012 iMac that I bought used a couple of years ago. It is the oldest model that supports Mojave, which I have). So if you bought a used iMac from 2013 or later, you should be fine.
- Iphone carriers, does it matter if its different? My brother gave me his old Iphone4. The carrier is AT&T I have sprint. Can I still change it over to my plane? I didn't think it matterd since people buy Iphones over the internet all the time. We already have 1 Iphone on our plan(my husbands)… So is there a difference?
- If an iphone is unlocked, does it matter if it has a clean esn or not? I found an ad on craigslist for an unlocked iphone. It said nothing about it having a clean esn or not, but does it matter if its unlocked already? Oh and if i meet up with the person, how can i prove on the spot if its unlocked? I want to make sure they weren't lying.
- I bought a Mac, how do I get rid of linux and install Mac OS again? I bought this mac second hand. It is an iBook G4, but the people installed linux on it and I would like the OS software on it instead as I have an iPhone and an iPod and iCloud and I would just rather deal with something that I'm familiar with, but I have been looking and I have no idea how to delete it and put what I want on it.
- For the iPhone 6 trade-in at Verizon, does it have to be a Verizon iPhone 4S or does it not matter? I currently have an iPhone 4S (Sprint) that I'd want to trade in for the new 6, but will Sprint take my phone back? And will Verizon accept a Sprint version? Also, if the screen is cracked, but fully operational, will they accept it? Sorry for having so many questions…
