Iphone carriers, does it matter if its different?
My brother gave me his old Iphone4. The carrier is AT&T I have sprint. Can I still change it over to my plane? I didn't think it matterd since people buy Iphones over the internet all the time. We already have 1 Iphone on our plan(my husbands)… So is there a difference?
The sim card is what matters. The iphone 4 and the 3s have different sims.same with the 4 and 5. You can go to the sprint store and tell them to give you a sim that can fit into the phone and it will be with your service. Take out the at&t sim and put the sprint one and your set.
The iPhone 4 had a GSM & a CDMA model. One can't work on the other.AT&T is a GSM network whereas Sprint is CDMA. Same applies here.
CDMA networks don't use SIM cards. Only GSM ones do.
Probably my mom gave me her iphone 4 so she could get her iphone 5, all you gotta do i talk to your company and they'll straighten it out

- Is there any hardware difference in iPhones from different carriers? I'm looking at screen replacements for iPhone 4s, and some will be sold as "verizon iPhone screen assembly" and "sprint iPhone screen assembly" and "AT&T iPhone screen assembly." is there anything different? Or is this just a scam to get more money?

- If an iphone is unlocked, does it matter if it has a clean esn or not? I found an ad on craigslist for an unlocked iphone. It said nothing about it having a clean esn or not, but does it matter if its unlocked already? Oh and if i meet up with the person, how can i prove on the spot if its unlocked? I want to make sure they weren't lying.
