Does metro pcs have iphones?

I currently have a family plan with 3 other people and it normally costs us $35 a phone. I want a new phone and was wondering if i would be able to buy an iphone and replace my current phone with it and if it would cost more monthly. I was looking into this and metro pcs has this thing where you bring in your own phone and they activate it and it'll be in their network. It says "Only T-Mobile's and AT&T's iPhones, and Verizon's and Sprint's iPhone 5 will work on our network" and i'm not really sure what this means? Would i have to buy an iphone at one of those phone companies and then go to metro pcs to activate it there? Or would i have to buy it and activate it at one of those places and then switch over to metro pcs? I'm just really confused and need someone to explain it to me.

I also saw the metro pcs will be selling iphones sometime in august and i was wondering if i could just go buy an iphone and use it as an ipod for now(just listen to music and play apps without texting and calling) and activate it in august?

If you're currently on a family plan with MetroPCS, you need to get Verizon or Sprint iPhone as they're CDMA too. Then you can take it to MetroPCS and have that phone activated on your current number. If they refuse to do so, you can just get the phone flashed to MetroPCS. No big issue. If you need iPhone for MetroPCS at reasonable price, mail me.

T-Mobile, who recently bought metroPCS if they get their way plan to bring it to that carrier.

Yana, what's your email? I'm very interested in getting the IPhone, preferably the 6s plus, for metro pcs.
