Does my iPhone use more data than my android did?

I recently switched to the iPhone the last week of November, it was nice at first but I've noticed an increase of data being used than what was with my android. During the last phone cycle (which ended a week ago) I ran my data over in ONE week and I've only come close to using all of my data (75%) with my android in the two or three days. I cut my data off when I don't use my phone and when I do use it I only turn the data on for certain apps. What could be happening?

You probably had background tasks set up better for your Android phone, you need to restrict background data usage on your iPhone. The iPhone itself will not use up much, if any extra data for the same task as an Android phone

People tend to use iphones alot more then androids, so normally more data is used
