Does my verison hotspot cost money?
So I got an iPhone 5c for Christmas. It came with a hotspot so I let my friends with iPods have Wi-Fi. My brother is now telling me it costs money. I have unlimited data and It came with my phone.
Yes for monthly data usage. Nothing in life is free; unless your mobile dataplan with verizon comes with a dataplan for the hotspot you will eventually have to pay for the Wi-Fi from the hotspot.
Its a great source but unfortunately it isn't free
You can add the hotspot feature to your line and it will not change your calling plan or anything else on the other lines. The cost is $20.00 for the 3G hotspot if you have the grandfathered $29.99 unlimited data plan. This will allow you 2GB to use and overage is $20.00 per GB.
Yah unless it is in your data plan if you had to call in and ask them to set it up it kinda adds a whole new data plan to your phone so yah in other words ITS NOT FREE!
- Will using my iPhone's hotspot cost extra money? I have an iPhone 4s (which is up to date on all IOS updates) and I have the unlimited data plan at AT&T. I'm leaving for a road trip tomorrow, and I wanted to turn the hotspot on so I could use that Wi-Fi on my laptop during the trip so I won't get bored. It says I need to set up an account for it, which I will do later… But would any extra charges be added to my bill?

Will it possibly have Internet but not be able to text or make calls. I've heard that it will text but no calls and I've heard that nothing will work, not even Internet.
