Does staring at an iPhone screen at night (or in poor lighting) damage your eyes?
So I have really bad nearsightedness (a fairly strong prescription, kind of thick glasses & I'm only 18) :( and before I go to sleep I have a habit of surfing the web & checking stuff on my iPhone, and when I'm doing this no other light is turned on besides the light from the iPhone screen itself. Will this further worsen my vision (nearsightedness) or is it just a myth? Should I try not to do this during the night? I need REAL answers… Thanks…
It will affect your eyes but not that much but yes it will affect your eyesight.(slowly)
Yes because you are putting your eyes in strain when you're forcing them to look directly at a bright light for hours; considering you have turn the light off which double the brightness of your screen. According to studies, staring at LCD or computer screen for more than 8 hours a day can seriously harm your vision - scientists calls this occurrence, Computer Vision Syndrome.
- Iphone in dark brightness at night affect eyes? Can using my iphone 6s at night with brightness all the way low effect my eyes? Anything horribly bad?
- Glasses that protect your eyes from laptop screen, iPhone screen, etc? So lately I have been performing a lot of work/activities on my iphone and laptop and my eyes fell overworked, irritated, dried out. This couldn't be good in the long run. So is there any type of glasses I can wear that will protect my eyes when staring at the monitor for excessively long hours?
- Does your iPhones night shift mode kill your battery too? I love using it, especially when I'm laying in bed or somewhere dark but I feel like my battery dies twice as fast. I have an iPhone 6+ and was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
- Does looking at an iPhone 5S screen all day strain your eyes? What about at night? (Dimly lit room or pitch black room) I'm already badly nearsighted and wear glasses… (-5.00 prescription). And by straining your eyes will this make your vision worse. And does the same go to any other electronic device (ex. TV, computer, iPad, etc?)
