Does unlocking an iPhone still make you pay for data?
I'm planning on buying an iPhone off of craigslist, and it unlock after. If I unlock it, will I have to pay for data if I don't put in my sim card right away? I know how to unlock it, I just don't want to pay the data plan for a smartphone and not get caught.
I don't understand, by unlocking your phone your able to use other sims inside your phone. But if your on contract, it doesn't matter whether you put another sim in or not, you will simply be charged a certain amount every month and that will be taken from your account via direct debit.
By unlocking, you don't get free internet? You still have to pay! Just to another sim provider.
If you unlock it, all that will do is allow you to use it like any other phone, just on a different carrier then it was designed to be.So, if you unlock it you will still have to use the SIM card and pay for the data as normal.
- Would i still have to pay for Data? My sister got an new iphone and she still has her old one. If i switch from my cell to her old iphone she use to have will i still have to pay the data package a month?
- Unlocking iPhone4s from contract to pay as you go? If someone has an iPhone 4s on contract with 3, when the contract ends and the person upgrades to iPhone 5, can they then unlock the 4s and use it on pay as you go?
- Is pay as you go better than pay monthy for an iphone? I can either can an iphone 4 (32gb with small scratch on screen) for 100 pounds and then have a pay as you go sim or an 8gb iphone 4 for "effectively 14.88 a month". Which works out the better deal?
- If you turn off cellular data on an iphone, does it still charge you? On an iPhone, you can turn off the cellular data. Under Settings; General; Network it gives you the option to turn off all cellular data. If you do that, does it still charge you monthly for data?
