Does using my iphone on Wi-Fi add data towards my 3GB monthly plan?
I have the iphone 5 on AT&T 4G LTE. I have an app called "My Data Summary" which shows me my daily usage of data. So, I switched from 4g LTE to my home's Wi-Fi. The app also shows how much data i use on the Wi-Fi as well. I'm just wondering if when I use my Wi-Fi, does that data also add on or not?
Wi-Fi does not count against your data limit.
As long as you're on Wi-Fi, you can browse as much as you want. Contact you phone/TV/Internet company to see what your Wi-Fi rate plan is. Some people have a 15GB limit, for others it's unlimited.
As for your mobile data (4G LTE) your usage towards it will count when you are not connected to Wi-Fi.
Hope this helps.
- With a Verizon data plan, does an iPhone 5 cost extra monthly? Need an upgrade, have unlimited texts and 2gbs a month. Will getting the iPhone increase my monthly bill?
- Is it cheaper to get a new iPhone on a plan or buy it unlocked and add a cheap plan? I can either buy the phone for $250 and pay a monthly $80 plan with data for 2 years or purchase the unlocked phone $800 and pay $30 - $50 a month - I might not get data but it wouldn't be a big deal to me, I'm just trying to find a deal thats not ridiculously expensive cause I can't really afford too too much right now. Which would be better?
- Is 3GB of Data Enough for 2 people on iPhones? Me and my brother are getting iphones. if we do 3GB of data, would that be enough for moth of us mixed together? also, i know about using Wi-Fi when its there, so of course i won't use the GB when there's Wi-Fi. also, is 3GB more than MB? And more than 1gb? Sorry i'm stupid… thanks:-) Its iphone 5 by the way
- If I go past my 3gb data limit on my iPhone will I be charged extra immediately or? Do I have to go exactly one 1gb over to be charged? Let's say I just go a little bit past 3gb is that alone enough to have to pay an additional fee with AT&T?
