Does verizon still have basic data plans?
I'm looking to upgrade to an iphone 5. I just need a data plan for my phone. I DON't NEED SHARE EVERYTHING. Can i still get that $30 data plan? Is it still available?
I'm not sure you will like my answer from a $$$ point of view but I you had a AT&T iPhone instead you could do Net10 for $45 (actually about $48.50 including fees) monthly. That is what we did for my iPhone and my Son's iPhone too. We bought the AT&T phones ($350 on Ebay and $313 on Amazon)(you can get one cheaper on Craigslist) and unlocked them and bought the Sims from Net10 ($10) and put them on their service.
The problem with your phone for their service is that your Verizon phone does not take a Sim card.
We have unlimited Talk, Data, and Text. $45 for the first and $40 for the second so including fees it is less than $90 for two phones for UNLIMITED service and no 2 year contract.
Verizon still has basic data plans. But they are only for basic phones. The plan is $40 for 300 MB of data.
If you want to use a Iphone 5 with Verizon you have to get the 1GB of data for $50 or more data.
If you want a Iphone 5 and 1GB of data you will be paying $40 for your smart phone and $50 for 1GB of data. After taxes and fees you will be paying around $110 per month.
- Which do you recommend? Iphone 5s Smart Plans or Iphone 5s Globe Plans? I'm confused. I've heard a lot of negative comments about globe internet speed and secret extra charges. But it seems that there are more recommendations to go for globe iphone plans. What's wrong with Smart? Which is more advisable for first timers in mobile plans?

- What counts as data on Verizon's data plans with the iphone? Read more please? So i got an iphone for xmas and i have a 2gig plan, so what counts as data on the phone? Like playing games, emails, tweets, ect? Also when the bill comes in will it show, say i downloaded the twitter app, will it show that i spend time on it? (my dad doesn't know i have one so trying to make sure he doesn't find out.) Any help would be very helpful! Please and thank you!
