Does warranty cover flash not working due to water damage?

I have an iPhone 6 which I dropped in the toilet yesterday and put in rice. Everything seems to be working fine now expect for my flash/flashlight. I just noticed it hasn't been working. I have either Apple plus care or Telus device care (I'm not sure which but i know it covers water damage). Will the warranty cover the damage if I just show them that my flash doesn't work because of water damage? Or does it have to be more serious? Will they give me a new phone? I really hope it does because I use flash a lot… Any information will help.

A "warranty" wouldn't cover any sort of damage. Warranties exist to replace defective products caused by manufacturer error, not by user error. Any accidental damage and such is only covered if you bought insurance (or for an iPhone, Apple Care).

If you didn't buy that, then you can't get it replaced at all

Nope

  • Water damage and opening iPhone 5c both puts it out of warranty, so do both? If having water damage in your iPhone 5c means you aren't covered by warranty, is it acceptable to open it and try to fix it as opening it also means it isn't covered by warranty. Therefore if you can't fix it yourself, apple can still take it out of warranty?
  • Sprint warranty for water damage on iphone 4s? Recently, my brand new iphone 4s fell on my sink, the problem with it is that there are grey spots and blue spots on my screen. Do you know if there's a warranty on my phone, i remember the worker told me that it did not cover loss but i don't remember after that
  • My Iphone 4 isn't responding due to water damage? 2 days ago my iphone got a little wet. I just wiped it off & continued using it. Within a few minutes the screen went black & it vibrated once. Know I can't even get it to respond/turn on. Any Help? Already tried drying it out btw
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
