Downsides of jailbreaking an iPhone4?

I'm debating on jailbreaking my iPhone and not. What are some of the bad side effects? Is it worth it?

There are some downsides with jailbreaking your iPhone, you can face device instability which includes frequent and unexpected crashes of the device, crashes and freezes of built-in apps and third-party apps, and loss of data, etc. Security compromise is as well possible. You are better off having a clean iPhone than having the possibility of these kind of negative effects. Also with the fact that you are facing something that Apple never intended.

I know I need to make my sim card into a micro one but will my blackberry data plan work on the iPhone?   • My iphone4 says invalid sim or no service? My iphone4 was given to me from my aunt and when i was activating it as mine, i had a problem when i connected to itunes, it says my iphone doesn't support my sim card, so later, i put on my aunt's sim card than it connected to itunes and its done. So now my iphone 4 shows menu bar but when i insert my sim card, it says 'no service' or sometimes 'invalid sim card'.

I can't receive calls or text or anything but i can connect to internet and i can download and play games… I've restarted my phone. I took out the sim and put it back sometimes i get reception when i restart but then i can't make calls or text or receive anything… help? Where can i get this fix? Do i need to change my sim?
