Dropped my iPhone 5 in water but still works?
Yesterday at work I dropped my iPhone 5 in water, not much but enough to fully submerge it. I took it out as fast as I could (no more than 5 seconds) I quickly dried it off with some tissues. Everything was still working apart from the sound, it was very faint but then it started working like normal after I stood the iphone up with the speakers at the bottom for a bit. I have had my phone in rice over night and everything is still fine, it's like nothing ever happened to it. However I don't want to find in a few days that it's broken. Will my phone be fine or should I be over precautions and painfully keep it in rice for at least another day?
Personally I would dry it for another 24 hours.
Better solution is bring it to mobile service center to clean it.
there you will gonna be sure to dry but make sure they are apple specialist for mobile.
- What do i do if i dropped my iPhone in water and in under 24 hrs it still works? I dropped it in a bath for like almost 2 seconds and I turned it off, I put it in rice and waited like 10 hrs or so… It turned back on and works just fine.except my ear kind of hurts when I turn my phone on( which never happens when I turn my phone on) what does this mean

- I dropped my iphone on the ground in the rain and it still works, should I still put it in rice? It's been thundering the past week and I dropped my phone on my driveway. It was there for no more than five minutes and it works fine, I had it in rice for ten minutes (doubt it did any good lol) should I keep it in the rice if it works fine?
- I dropped my iphone 4 in water and it still works? Okay so I dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet for about 2 seconds and I took it out (the water was clean) and then I put it in some rice. It was working fine when I put it in the rice like it still turned on and the screen did not have any water damage. It's been in the rice for about 7 hours and it has been vibrating because of texts and notifications through out the day. Do you think it is safe if I take it out of the rice now?
