Dropped my iPhone in water, any suggestions?

I dropped my iPhone 5 in the toilet, the water damage sticker is still white however. For the couple of seconds that it worked before it shut off, the home button did not work, and neither did the touchscreen. Currently I have it sitting in a bag of rice, any other suggestions?

Added (1). Also forgot to mention, not sure if I'm to keen on taking it back to the Apple Store, the phone is jailbroken. It won't come back on, just stays at the loading screen with the apple logo. I considered hooking it back up to my computer and trying to restore it, but haven't yet because I don't want to take the risk of frying it.

Let it dry out for 24 hours and see if it works, if not go back to the apple store.

I've heard that rice doesn't help. I have never dropped my phone in water but my friend did and she told me it didn't help anything

I heard rice is not good because it will dry out the phone but will cause it to corrode. I would bring it to a repair shop and see if they can help. If you are lucky enough to still have that sticker white in color I would bring it to apple and tell them it stopped working as they wouldn't be able to tell you got it soaked and hopefully think it is defective.

Well when I dropped my phone the first time in the bath for more than a minute I started 2 panic.

I quickly wrapped a dry towel around it and my mother suggested me 2 leave it and wait.

I literally cried.

But the next day the screen came on again but no sound.

After I left it home and went to school came back 6 hours later it was fine.

Same happened 2 my iPod 4G but the second time i accidentally dropped it in a tiny bit of soup and it permanently shut off.
