E-caller volume and clarity?
I built my own e-caller for calling coyotes. It is made from my iPhone 5, 9v speaker amp, speaker wire, and a horn speaker. I hooked it all up and it's not very loud at all and the sounds are distorted. What could be wrong? All parts are new from RadioShack
Thats cleaver, maybe the distorted sound will work keep trying
You need to match the IPhone output impedance with the amp's input impedance, and, be sure the speaker impedance matches the amps output.
Your IPhone is probably 600ohms, the speaker is probably 8ohms, and the amp is probably not a 600ohm input with an 8ohm output.
A 9v battery powered amp is not gonna be very loud. Especially outdoors where sound waves are typically cut in half every 30 feet.
If you are not careful - you could damge your IPhones speaker output circuits.
- Which app can I use to call and change the caller ID? I've seen my friend use this app that he calls but he can change the caller ID, I remember he called someone and he put 911 as the caller ID. I would like to know what is the name of that app for the Apple Store / iPhone / iTouch.
- What's the difference between an 'unkown' caller and 'no caller ID'? This unknown number keeps ringing me, and i thought if someone blocked their numbers (on iphones) it comes up as no caller ID so i'm not sure if it is still a blocked number or a number that can't come trhough. But when i answer nobody speaks and they've rang one of my friends so its not a scam phone call also they don't speak at all so if it was a company of some sort they must of spoken so its probably a prank call but i wanna know the difference to make sure.
- My iphone 5 will only vibrate and not ring. Yes, the volume is all the way up. I checked. I went into settings and choose a ringtone? All this phone does is vibrate. Any ideas on what the problem can be. I have tried turning the power off and restarting the phone still only vibrates and does not ring. It worked.
- Is it better to have more or less pixels per inch for better clarity? I'm not sure if that makes sense or if I have asked it correctly. What I mean is if the Iphone 5 has 326 PPI and a HTC has for instance 440 PPI which one would be better? So would that mean the pixels would be larger on a computer screen with retina display or would they have to be smaller?
