Electronic device to write notes, but that is NOT connected to the Internet at all?

I'm looking for a very simple device, just for typing notes. I do NOT want the device to have the option of Internet access.

My first thought would be an old "Psion 3a" PDA.

They predate smartphones and are one of the earlier really practical pocket computers - full QUERTY keyboard, reasonable display and they run for a couple of weeks on a pair of AA cells.

They include a word processor, spreadsheet, voice memo recorder etc. In the built-in apps.

Examples:

They are classed as a "palmtop" computer - to give you an idea of size, when closed mine is about 15mm longer and 10mm wider than my iphone 6 in it's Otterbox case; probably about the same as an iphone 6+, though somewhat thicker.

They also pre-date Wi-Fi (and near enough pre-date web pages) - if I remember correctly, the only possible internet connection was with an external dial-up telephone modem unit. Typewriter? That question is rather wide…

- pencil and paper
- typewriter
- electric typewriter
- early word processors
- early PDA
- phone/tablet in airplane mode
- PC build without internet access ability
- my current laptop at work:-(

It all depends on what you want to do with the notes - and your reasons why this would have to be an electronic device. Any tablet device such as an Apple iPad -- the model that doesn't have cellular access. Even though it has Wi-Fi, you can turn it off and never use it. It's called a PDA. They used to be very popular, before the "smartphone" appeared. Such devices now generally have internet connectivity, but you are not obliged to use it. If you don't set up an internet connection, you won't be connected to the internet. If you want to buy an older PDA or pre-internet computer, it will do what you want and will be VERY cheap. You could also buy cheaply a more modern computer with a damaged wi-fi/internet section.
