Evasi0n won't download on my Mac?

I tried downloading the latest version of Evasi0n and some of the older versions onto my mac to jailbreak my iphone5c ios 7.0.4 but it never works. Help? My mac is Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I tried to see if I needed a software update but it says it says my software is up to date.
