Evernote or lingerie store led to credit card fraud?
I store my debit card info on my evernote account, I have the app on my computer and iphone.
This morning while I was sleeping, a $44 charge was made on my debit card to chineselovelinks.com. I have no idea who it was or where they came from.
I believe someone either had access to my Evernote account, or it had something to do with yandy.com where I ordered lingerie the other week. Those are the only reasons I could think of, my credit union is closed today so all I could do was freeze my card.
Will they be able to find where the purchase came from? And get my money back? I'm 19 and this is the first card I've ever had, and the first time anything like this has happened to me. I can't believe it happened to me! Thanks for any help. (and yes, I deleted all my important info from evernote as well).
You contact your bank/credit union and file a dispute. Get a new debit card. The bank will investigate and eventually you should get your money returned.
I don't know what a evernote account is, but it doesn't sound like a good idea to store your debit card info on yoru computer or iphone. Too easy to hack into.
- ITunes Gift card instead of Credit Card? I found some things that i have been wanting on the iTunes store but i do not have a credit card registered with my account. If i were to buy an iTunes gift card, would that work in lieu of the credit card requirement? Also, the apps that i want to get are for the iPhone. Would buying an app with the gift card affect the plan with the phone in any way?
- Is there any hard evidence of widespread fraud of welfare programs? Or is it all just anecdotes. The most common type of answer I get is "my neighbor is on food stamps and has an iPhone!"
- If you buy iPhone from Apple Store with Apple Credit Card and stop making payments on it what happens next to that phone? If you buy iPhone from Apple Store with Apple Credit Card and stop making payments on that Credit Card what happens next to that phone? Does it get blacklisted like other companies does it? (I'm not trying to do this, just to prove a point to somebody stupid that he won't get away with it. Lol)
- If there's fraud or something goes wrong, will PayPal get me my money back? I'm buying an iPhone off of Craigslist. I have pictures and everything looks fine. If I pay the money and don't get it or its fake or some kind of fraud, will I get my money back?
