Example of innovative reproduction?

In school, we have a task to be innovative. My group has to find examples of being innovative, by doing a reproduction of a product. Therefore we need to find some companies who's been innovative by redesign a product. Is Apple an example? They redesigned the phone because before iPhone, there was "normal" phones but then they recreated it, and therefore they have taken an idea, and made a new one?

Is that correct?

I think a well-known example of innovation is the suitcase with wheels. Before men had to carry heavy suitcases by the handle. My grandpa had one. There were ways to stave off the pain by putting the suitcase down every 20 paces. Then, ta-da, someone thought to put on wheels. Neat right?

A cool one is a heated ice cream scoop. It's hard to scoop out rock solid ice cream. Therefore, get a self-heating one that makes the task easy.
