Fate of my apps if switching from Droid 4 to iPhone?
I'm considering switching from my Droid 4 to either the iPhone 4s or the iPhone 5. I've purchased many apps on my Droid, will I lose them all if I switch since even though I'd stay with my phone carrier I'd be switching platforms? Is there anyway to keep them? If the iPhones carry an app that I paid for on my Droid can I keep them without having to pay again or only if they have a sign in?
Their different platforms and different app stores, unfortunately developers are greedy and they will squeeze what they can out of you. I moved from iphone 4 to a galaxy s3 and i've had to re-buy some apps that i was using that are also on the android platform.
Apps do not transfer from iOS to Android, I'm afraid. You might be able to get the app maker to "replace" the old app with an Android one, but that is uncertain for me to say one way or the other.
- Which is better? IPhone or Droid? I understand that some people have had both an iPhone and a Droid and usually it's the one they are most used to… I'm thinking about getting an iPhone… What's your opinion?
