Fixing my iPhone 3GS after trying to jailbreak?

Please no rude comments like i shouldn't have tried to jailbreak or something.

I just tried to jailbreak my old iphone 3GS that has iOS 5.0.1 and it looked like it was working but it just kept rebooting once it was done so i re did the installation in redsnow but instead i was trying to uninstall it. Now every time i try to intall or uninstall it just says error an doesn't do anything… And its not showing up in itunes so i can't restore it or anything… Any ideas? Please help i don't want it to just be stuck not being able to use it.

Added (1). Also if i brought it to apple to see if they can restore it would they not since i tried to jailbreak it?
if its just stuck on the apple logo could they even know for sure that i tried to jailbreak it?

Turn it off and on again. (Hold sleep button and slide it off, it should just shut off, if not, hold sleep and home until the apple logo disappears and reappears.)
It's probably just stuck in either DFU or shutting down mode. If all else fails, just do a complete restore (download iTunes, etc, etc.)

Apple are against Jailbreaking, i don't know what country your in but its illegal in most. The iPhone is not meant to be able to do these things, that's why it no longer works. Sorry but that's the truth.
