Found an iPhone, how to unlock it?
I found an iPhone in my dorm room! My wireless mouse fell between the bed and the wall (it's fixed and unmovable furniture) but my arm is skinny enough to reach back in there, and I found an iPhone (along with my mouse and an old empty smell proof baggy for the herb (I was dissapointed when it was empty. I don't know anything about iphones really, so I don't even know what model it is, 1, 2, 3g, 4, no clue… How do I tell this? Also, how do I unlock it? It's got the 4 digit unlock thing… It has no service, but that doesn't surprise me because whoever lost it lost it a while ago (there was a LOT of dust on it, could that mess it up?).Is there something I can download to break the password? Again, I have no idea how old it is or how long it was back there, so if the model matters in cracking it you'll have to tell me how to spot which model it is: p
If it's been down there for a long time it probably won't be the 4 or 5. If it has curvy-like base and not a box, it could be the 3 or the 3S.
To get past the 4-digit code, you want to enter the iPhone into restore mode. Hold down the power button and the menu button for 25 seconds or so and then hook up to your computer while your iTunes is open. You'll be prompted to restore it.
If you don't have iTunes, just go download it.

- I found in Iphone 5 on the bus and it has a passcode lock on it. How do it unlock it? I've tried plugging it into my computer and restoring it using itunes but the passcode lock doesn't allow me to do so. Any tips?

So i'm thinking of giving it to my sister since her phone broke but its locked from icloud. What can i do? I have the phones MEID & IMEI number. - What are my options? Its a waste to just throw it away.
- How to unlock found sprint iphone 4? Last tuesday i was at the bus stop coming back from the library and i found and iphone 4 that was left there and immidiately turned it off because i seen it had icloud and location and services turned on. Also the phone is locked. Today i turned it on at a restaurant and noticed it still had service on. How can i erase everything from it including the service and unlock it?
