Found an Iphone5 trying to return it?

I found an iPhone 5 today I have left the device on since, to see if the owner tracks it down. The phone is lock my next step is to take it to the AT&T store to see if they are able to find the owner using the SIM card, but I'm afraid someone there might keep it for them self. I know a couple of people who have done that. I believe in good karma so is there any way I can figure out the owner of this device? It will defiantly make their holiday season much better.Ps I have horrible writing skills, and thank you.

Try to go to Contacts and get an address from someone on the list. If the phone is locked with code, then that's not gonna happen. You can also do another thing, take the SIM out of the phone and put it in a different iPhone 5 and get the contacts from there. Keep the phone turned on and see if anyone tries to call the phone, you'll be able to get the address from him / her. If you don't get any response for few days, take out the SIM and use it as an iPod or put your SIM in.
