Found sprint iphone 4s, can I use it?
With my luck, I found an iphone 4s at a bus stop today. It was inside a broken umbrella. When I brought it home and charged it, it was in recovery mode, so I had no choice but to restore it. The phone has a number and is connected to the sprint network, but doesn't send texts make calls etc, and I haven't received a call from anyone claiming it. Since the phone was restored, will I be able to use it as my own if I buy a plan from sprint?
Added (1). And If I currently can't, what can I do in order to be able to use it with sprint?
Added (2). I didn't have any way to return the phone, it was in recovery mode when I found it.
Added (3). Also turns out, the phone has a bad esn. So if i can't use it with sprint can I use it with another carrier?
Here what might have happened. Usually when people lose their phone, They call network provider and lock I mean master lock the phone which you won't be able to make any call or any sort of communication. Basically useless. But if it was me I would've returned the phone in the first place. To me finders are not always the keepers.
The phone has bad ESN since it's reported lost / stolen. So you can't use it on Sprint but can use on other CDMA carriers if the phone's flashed to those carriers. You can mail this person (arghyle@rocketmail.com) who can help you with your problem.

I've found and iPhone 4 and i've restored everything and have had it for about 3-4 monthes now. Noone has contacted me after a month so i kept it. But its still connected to there Sprint service. I want that of so hopefully i can connect it to my sprint service. I'm scared to take it to an apple store or a sprint store cause i don't want them to take it from me. I will hack it if i have to.
