From where should I buy an iPhone in US?

If I want to buy an iPhone from US then where should I go? I read that iPhone's International warranty is not applicable in India… Is that right?

I can see on Apple website that we can get an unlocked one from AT&T. Is there any other place from where we could buy a factory unlocked one which have the official apple warranty?

AT&T does not sell unlocked iPhones. Only Apple Stores themselves do that. In that regard, any Apple Store will be able to sell you an unlocked iPhone.
