Galaxy s3 won't receive iphone text?

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and a coworker has an iphone. I've never had an iphone before amd I haven't switched phones in about a year. For some reason I can't receive her texts, but I can get texts from other iphone users. Any suggestions?

Maybe it is her iPhone's problem. Some other iPhone users are also reporting that they can't receive texts from others or even the text is received, there's no notification. Some iOS 7 users reported this mostly.

  • Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?

I have checked the service centre number which is correct, I have updated the ios software thing (I'm not too clever with Apple products but yes it's been updated).It says iMessage is waiting for activation but it has said this for ages now. I have tried absolutely everything with still nothing. I can make calls, use the internet, I can do everything else! I just can't send or receive text messages… Will someone please help me?

When I try to send a message it doesn't show the little red 'error' circle or anything, the text will appear and it will say sending and as it's finished loading it'll just disappear.
