Can you use itunes to get music from the ipod to store on a usb drive

For some idiotic reason, Apple doesn't let you copy music from the iPod to your PC via iTunes. You would need to use a third party program like iFunbox to copy over the music to your PC.

- Thinking of getting new iPhone - will old iPhone work as an iPod without sim? Am eligible for upgrade and was thinking of giving current iPhone 4 to 8 year old to use as an iPod. Will it work without a sim?
