Gmail App on my iPhone 4s doesn't reply with the same address anymore?

I have 2 emails I use ones a personal (gmail acc) add and the other is a professional add. I direct my professional add to my gmail account because I like everything to be in one place. So on my iPhone I don't use their mail app but rather use the Gmail app.

Recently when I reply to my emails sent to my professional address. It defaults to my personal address. This only happens when I use the iPhone app, from my computer its fine and when I've checked the settings, it is ticked next to 'Reply from the same address the message was sent to' so people are getting confused about my emails now. Is this happening to anyone else?

i'm up to date on all software/hardware (iOS and gmail versions). I think its a bug in gmail. But its driving me crazy as i'm now considering separating the accounts. Which is something I don't want to do.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with the gmail iPhone app defaulting to my gmail address opposed to the address that the original email was sent to.

I don't think you need to separate your accounts, just make sure that you tap on the "from" field when you are replying and change it to your professional address.

It's definitely a bug so hopefully google will fix it in the next update.
