Google + app keeps crashing on iPhone 3GS?

Every time I go on google + the app just exists. I tried deleting and reinstalling but the same problem.

I had same problem with my iPhone 4.It was better after I updated to ios 6.1.3. Did you try updating your OS?

Try deleting all your multi tasking apps.
double click the home button then delete all those apps
if that doesn't work follow these next steps very closely.
go to settings, then go to safari, then click clear cookies and data. And it should work

I always have to restore it in iTunes and then it works again but for only a short time before shutting off again. Also I have too put the phone in DFU mode to get my laptop to reconize it. What could be causing this? Is the battery old or is it the software?
