Got an iPhone 5 for Christmas?

Ok, so firstly I really do not want to sound ungrateful and to be honest, I'm in fact very grateful.

Ok so basically today I received an iPhone 5 for Christmas from my Mum, I was really shocked because I really wasn't expecting it! This is mainly because ever since the iPhone 5 was released I'd been saying how much I don't like the new iPhone (just my opinion).So it was really awkward & I had to put on a happy face.

Anyways before today I already had an iPhone 4 & I really would prefer to keep it rather than swap to the 5. But I don't want to tell my mum this because I know she will be upset & think I'm being ungrateful! But I want to save her money. But I know she won't see it this way.

What should I do?

Talk to her about refunding it then take her out for a meal with the cash, then spend the rest on what pleases you.

You could say they've had loads of problems software wise or that you've tried to turn it in and it's not working so you'll return it and get her money back, then say "mum do you know what, I'm reading so much bad press about this iPhone5 you know, I'd rather stick to the 4, and you get me something else with the money":) hope that helps.

Exchange it for cash and take your family out for dinner (you'll have enough if you didn't open the box the phone was in) and then buy yourself something you like.

Thats not ungrateful your happy with what you have! Tell your mom to refund it and get her money back. Tell her that you too should use the money to go out somewhere. Shopping, going to a spa going to see broadway something you too would enjoy. Explain to her why you don't want the Iphone and it would be better if you saved the money.
