You can look for the prices at stores in America online(if you know what stores there are)
but i live in australia, but here just after Christmas we have a thing that we call boxing day sales, and the prices of everything drops(all shops have a massive sale) so its up to you, you should try and compare the prices,

Umm, so why would you not ask them this question? If they know that it's cheap, the should be able to tell you by how much.

The details of the price for the christmas season is the same as the details for the price the rest of the year. You see in America, we have iPhones and christmas, but we also have economics and the laws of supply and demand and prices. In economics, when you have a product that many people want, the price for it goes up. Since so many people want the phone and are willing to pay full price for it, the people who sell it have no reason to sell it for less than that. They can barely keep these things in their store when the price is high. Maybe it's different in India where people must give away for cheap things that other people are willing to pay more for.

There's no such thing as an iPhone deal in America. Ever. If you see a low price, it's because there's a long contract attached. If you want an American iPhone, you will likely pay full retail price or very close. Apple never discounts the iPhone, and the profit margins on them are so small, they are never marked down at retail.

Besides, there's one more important reason you can't do this: American iPhones will not work outside the US except for basic phones calls and texts. High-speed data won't work at all. And only the AT&T version of the phone will do that, because it's a GSM phone. The other carriers are CDMA carriers, and those phones don't work outside the US.

The iPhone NEVER goes down in price, unless a new iPhone comes out.
Apple robs people like that: P
The price without a contract is $649 for 16 GB.
But I don't think it would work in India, but you can always try.
