Has Apple fixed the bend issue?

My contract is near due, and I'm leaning towards the iPhone 6. The only thing holding me back is the bend issue. I don't want to take it out of my pocket one day and find it bent at the side. Has Apple fixed the issue?

The samsung phones not only bends but also breaks the glass, this is from Forbes site:
--------------------
Under SquareTrade's applied pressure machine, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (and the HTC One M9) bent at 110 pounds of pressure, the same as the iPhone 6 Plus (the original controversially bendy phone). But, the key distinction was that the Galaxy S6 Edge's unique curved screen also smashed under 110 pounds of pressue, whereas the iPhone 6 Plus' didn't. Which meant Sqauretrade could sign off its video with "so, is this bendgate 2? No. But for Samsung fans it may be worse, instead of a bent phone, they may have a pocket full of glass.

They supposedly "quietly" fixed the #BendGate problem, but even if they didn't fix the problem you wouldn't need to worry too much since the bend problem only happened to about 15 of the millions of people who bought the iPhone 6.

  • Why did everyone make a big deal that the new iphone can bend? Why did people complain about this? It still works the same even though it can bend right? So why the big deal about it?
  • Apple-FBI issue With or against Apple? As we heard few weeks ago that Apple has refused to break the password of an Iphone a criminal had, to protect the privacy of the users, anyway FBI considered this as an obstruction of justice. Today I heard that the FBI has broke the security of the Iphone on its own. With or Against the action of "Apple" company by refusing the orders of FBI?
  • My iPhone is bend a little due? And you can see inside the lights and stuff. Is there a chance this could give me health problems? I mean like nasty chemicals in the components of the phone like mercury? The gap in the side is about 1mm.
  • My iPhone 6 has started to bend and apple won't replace it? I've had my iPhone 6 for almost a year now and its starting to bend slightly like those phones at bendgate. I still have warranty and insurance so I took my iPhone to apple to show them my bend and they won't replace it because they are saying its physical damage. What should I do i don't want to keep this bent phone.
