Having microphone issues when using my iPhone 5s
I just got my iPhone 5s pretty recently. I would say mid November, 2013.It was working fine until about 3 weeks ago. When I was trying to make a vine I noticed that the sound was muffled like a bunch of static and you could hardly hear my voice in the background. After about a week of that it went away for a week or so but now it is back. I've figured out that the microphone is only having troubles while I'm recording on the FRONT facing camera. This seems very bizarre to me. I would like to know if there's anything that I can do personally before I take it to the store. We don't have an apple store closer than 2 hours away and the people at the Verizon store by my house are never helpful. Any answer helps since I'm not very tech savvy.
Maybe you should get a android phone like the HTC one

If its only front facing camera, then make sure its hardware or software related or app related… Record something on Vine… Then record something using the normal camera app… Shoot, even use facebook or skype or another app…
If the front cam sound is muffled on ONLY Vine, then this is a VINE issue ONLY… Contact Vine devs. Do NOT get the iphone replaced or restored or call Verizon or Apple. This is app issue. Not a phone or network issue.
If the front cam sounds is muffled on every single app you used, then it's a Hardware or software issue… Do an Itunes restoral… Redo the camera app record on front cam… If the muffled sound is STILL there, then you know1000000000000000% you have hardware issues or damage… Now you can take it to Apple for warranty replacement or call Asurion Wireless Insurance to replace. DO NOT CALL Verizon!-Per Apple Contract, ATT/Verizon/Tmobile/Sprint are not allowed to deal with iphone hardware issues. Any hardware issue call to a wireless carrier is a STRAIGHT transfer to Apple or Asurion.

- IPhone 6s microphone issues? Having issues with my iPhone 6s microphone. Hey Siri doesn't work, nor does talk to text/dictation. When I try to FaceTime someone they can't hear me BUT when I use Facebook messenger video chat they can hear me. Same with general calls on speaker phone, no issues. If I plug my headphones in I can talk to text and the phone picks up what I say. I've tried about everything I can find online to try and fix it but I can't find any scenario similar to mine. Thought?
- Iphone 4s microphone issues? I have an Iphone 4s with an otterbox case. I've dropped it many times since i got it but recently i dropped it and now the microphone won't work for phone calls unless i turn on speaker phone. Is there a way to fix it?

I'm not a developer and I do not have a developer account I can't restore the device as since I did the update the phone won't connect! WHAT SHOULD I DO?
