118 over 69 blood pressure with a heart rate of 140 bpm?
I have a heart arrhythmia and that includes a fast heartbeat. It skips a beat. I just came back in from smoking a cigarette; which I know it makes my heart fast. Before that, I drank a Mountain Dew; it makes my heart fast as well. After all of that, my brother and I got into an argument over a stupid iphone.
my heart is beating so fast right now, I'm slightly shaking. Oh and I should have mentioned the fact that I'm on 180mg capsules called Diltiaz (generic for Cardizam) taken 3 times a-day.
Well, i haven't taken that all day. After the argument, I finally took all 3.
I was just wondering if the blood pressure was good or bad.
I have a ReliOn blood pressure reader that goes over the wrist and also measures heart rate.
It said
118
---
69
140 bpm
Can someone tell me if it's good or bad and what I should do?
Youre gonna die
Your blood pressure is normal.
Your heart rate is elevated for a resting heart rate. The smoking, the caffeine, and the argument will all raise your heart rate. I highly recommend reducing caffeine, eliminating smoking entirely, and try to work things out calmly with others (tough, I know).
Your blood pressure seems fine. Normal is viewed as being around 120/80. Just below that isn't a problem.
The heart rate of 140 BPM is a real problem if you were pretty much at rest.
If you have ANY heart problems quit smoking now. In fact quit smoking yesterday.
If you miss a tablet don't take the catch up doses, just take a tablet as soon as you realise you missed one.
Your blood pressure is normal.
Your pulse rate is abnormal. (Normal resting pulse rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute).
Cigarette smoking and caffeine may cause heart palpitations. Please stop smoking and avoid caffeinated beverages.
Diltiazem is used to treat high blood pressure and to control angina (chest pain). Diltiazem is in a class of medications called calcium-channel blockers. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so the heart does not have to pump as hard. It also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.
The main side effects of Calcium channel blockers (CCBs) include constipation, swelling (edema), and a slow heart rate (only with the non-dihydropyridine types).
Consult a cardiologist.
- What's a good heart rate variability product? I started using the Elite HRV app for iPhone and the chest strap heart rate monitor that is made by Polar. What's your experience with HRV biofeedback and do you have any insight you can offer me about products that work especially well and tips on training?
- Taking Pictures During Blood Donation? So I'm donating blood ( I live in Saskatchewan Canada ) and I was just wondering if I'm allowed to bring my iPhone 4 with me to take pictures to prove that I donated blood to my friends and family. Are you allowed to take pictures during the donation process?
- My iPhone 4S keeps turning off over and over and over again? I was on my phone just listening to OM&M on pandora and going on twitter when all of a sudden it shut off and now it's stuck on the turning off screen for like an hour or two. What do i do I'm FREAKING OUT.
- Is this a normal heart rate? I used this iPhone app that supposedly can check your heart rate by having you put the tip of your finger on the camera lens and it said my heart rate was 88bpm. I don't know how accurate this is but if it is, I'm 18, 5'4" and weigh 145. Is this an okay number? I heard 60-99 is normal range for resting bpm but I just wanna make sure…
