Hidden GPS tracking device in a car?

I know this is creepy and weird, but you know how females are sometimes, so I really need someone to help. My friend's ex boyfriend keeps hiding live tracking devices in her car. This is his fourth one. The first 3 were really easy to find. Regular old magnet boxes on the under carriage of the car. WE Can't FIND THIS ONE! We have looked everywhere, but he keeps getting smarter. I know it is live, because he knows where she is as soon as she arrives there. Does anyone have any ideas of how he is doing this? Could it be through her cell phone? She has all gps features disabled on her phone, but could he secretly be doing it through her iphone?
Her car is a 2012 Lexus is250… If that makes a difference.

Added (1). She isn't going to call the police. Yes i know that isn't the smartest, we just want to find it and hide it somewhere.

Call the police. NOW!

To figure out if the tracking device is in the car or on her person, take a different car some place. If he still knows where she is then the device is on her and not in the car. It may or may not be the phone, some one may have dropped a tracking device into her purse. It could also be that she is being tailed or that there's a rat in the bunch she thinks are her friends. Finding the rat can be just as difficult as finding a hidden tracking device. She could trade phones with some one she trusts and see if he calls with a false location. Let him leave a text or phone message if he calls her phone so that the ploy is not given away.
If it is her car, then some how she needs to start using a different car. He might have found a way to access the GPS in the car. Check the security settings on it.
If you can identify the source, then just use it keep him off base by missleading him and don't give away that you know how the tracking is being done.
But for right now, it would be wise to talk to the police about her being stalked.

If an ex-boyfriend has put a tracking device on her car 4x now… It is indeed time to call the police or a judge for the restraining order. Seriously. That's whacko crazy, I'd be worried about her physical safety if I was her.

I know, she never thinks he'd do that… People never think that… Right up until the point they're looking down the barrel of a gun and it's too late.

  • Will my jailbreak on one device transfer to another device via iTunes? So I bought an iPhone 5 today and I'm afraid to sync it to my Apple ID/ iTunes because my 8GB iPod is also synced to that iTunes account and its jailbroken. I don't want my jailbroken iPod to affect my iPhone 5. Will it affect it? I don't think it will but I just want to make sure before I sync it for the first time.
  • What GPS tracking iphone apps (cycling and running) can be used without a 3G signal? I have been using both endomondo and mapmyride for my running and cycling. When I came to track my mountain biking neither of the apps would start a workout because I was out in the sticks with no network connection. I wasn't expecting any live maps, but was expecting either one of the above to be able to track my coordinates by GPS, to be uploaded later. Shame really because I like the apps. Do they actually works without a network signal and I'm missing something?
  • What app can I use for gps tracking? I want to track my husband's locations cuz I think he's cheating. All the apps I look at tell me he needs the app on his phone too but he doesn't have an android or iphone. So what app can I use to secretly track his location of his phone? One that works and preferably cheap or free.
  • Vehicle Protection: GPS tracking without breaking the bank? I plan to purchase a new vehicle in the next month and was considering ways to protect it. I was curious if there's a smart, simple and cost effective way to do so. I'm thinking of something similar to Find my iPhone which grants the ability to locate the device on a map. I live in a questionable area and want some piece of mind knowing that if my car where stolen that I could locate it. Let me know what you do to protect your car and what systems you have in place.
