How do you hide the senders name of a text message on iPhone but still show a notification for a new message?

My parents are really protective and don't want me texting boys (I'm 18). And if I do they always get mad or start asking me questions. Is there a way to hide who the sender of a message is on an iPhone but still show a notification that you have a new message?

Sure change the name of the person you are texting to something else. That way whatever you change their name to shows up, other than their name. Because you been lying to them all this time, why not continue the lies?

Or here's an idea, move out, pay for your phone, housing, food, insurance, transportation (you know all that nasty adult stuff, and become as ACTUAL adult and you won't have to hide and lie about what you are doing or who you are doing it with. Ohh right, because they are paying for everything and you don't want to do that yet. Got it, well when you move out at 30, then you can do that!

Go to Settings > Notification Center > select Banners at the top. Then deselect 'Show Preview.' When a new message comes in, it will still show the name, but hide the message. No way around it. Just change the name of the person you're talking to in your contacts to a girl's name you'll remember (Michael = Michelle, or something) ;-)
