Home button on iPhone 4s doesn't function properly?

About 3 days ago, I dropped my iPhone 4S. It bounced about 3 times and landed on its face. Since then, I need to push a little bit harder for it to work. Sometimes double tapping to bring the multi task doesn't work. It recognizes as one tap. Sometime no tap. Is there a way to fix this? Opening it up myself or something else, anything would do for me. Just need an assist here.

Take it into an Apple store if you have it under warranty. I'm assuming you, like me and 90% of the population, don't have one - then your next option is to look for an online service for cheaper repairs than the Apple store. You could try it yourself, but I've found that, more often than not, this ends badly with an inexperienced user accidentally breaking another component while opening the phone. There's a feature called "Assistive Touch" that you can enable under Settings. This will enable you to use the home and multitasking features via your touch screen.
