Hot chocolate spilt over my iphone 5. What do I do?

I accidently spilt hot chocolate all over my iphone 5. I dried it off and it was fine.
The next day I woke up and it has a massive stain under the screen and only one speaker works. I put it in rice for a day and a half, and it is still there. I really don't want to go get it professionally fixed because it is too much money. What do I do? I've only had it for one month.

Well, you don't really have any other choice. You damaged the hardware, and will require hardware part changes, not just simple home remedy fixes.

  • Spilt ice cream in my iPhone? I was eating an ice cream cone and it dropped into the ear piece of my iPhone. Now when I try to call someone I can barely hear them through the ear piece even when the volume is turned up all the way. I don't know what I should do? I've already dropped my iPhone in water and everything and it still works I put it in rice. But any suggestions or should I just go try to get it fixed?
  • My IPhone got liquid spilt on it whilst charging? I didn't know and when I unhooked it this morning, the charger smelt burnt and sparked. The bit on the phone where the charger plugs in smells burnt. Is my phone beyond rescuing?
  • My iPhone 4S keeps turning off over and over and over again? I was on my phone just listening to OM&M on pandora and going on twitter when all of a sudden it shut off and now it's stuck on the turning off screen for like an hour or two. What do i do I'm FREAKING OUT.
  • Iphone 5 over heating and hot to the touch? I've had multiple iphone 5 white and their hot to the touch / overheating and i barly use it. I close all the apps i use and it still gets hot. An i'm also wondering if that happnds to the black iphone 5?
